its not bad. locking the pinky and pointer is better but i know a few successful golfers that dont. i would get use to it though.

Just want to thank for the video. Been struggling with a seemingly perfect grip, looking in atleast 10 magazines and still not getting the feeling of the hands being united. I turned out though that my grip-club that shows how to grip the club had the left thumb seperate from the pointing finger making an easy connection between both hands impossible. Finally I can get some sleep! Thx

Excellent video. The markings on the hand are great. This answered a ton of questions I had about grip. Now to try out a few things. Thanks a lot!

same here but no its not bad (if your beginner). For me, it gives A LOT of control. I think its called the interlocking grip.

Very good point. In this situation you should be able to swing the club with index finger pointing at the ground and thumb up in the air while the rest of the fingers grip the shaft. It’s almost as if you are making the ‘GUN’ notion with index and thumb while gripping the club.

Good video very educational. I will say this… Hogan used an overlapping grip and his right hand gripped with his fingers however, not as you suggested. Gripping with the index finger creates too much right hand dominance, if you grip with the two middle fingers of the right had in a interlocking grip you can swing without the thumb and forefinger on the grip to give your left hand the upmost control

Thanks for this video. I’m trying to correct my swing out at the range, and the part where you talk about having a strong grip is exactly what I found myself having to do to correct my horrendous drive slice. Great information!

Very informative….a suggestion would be to SHOW at a range all three different grips and the impact on the shots while using a control…a pro who can replicate severals hots exactly the same, the same club, same ball…this way we the view can see how the ball is impacted..and the end result

Could you explain why the reference marks on the index finger are different betwen this video and the “How -to” verify grip position. I’m a little confuse now. Still, great tutorial, thanks!
